Admissions Criteria
-
Strong Internal Motivation:
The student should have clear goals and take initiative in the college application process, rather than participating passively under parental pressure.
-
Ability to Follow a Timeline:
The student must be able to complete tasks on time according to the agreed-upon schedule.
-
Alignment of Background and Goals:
The student’s current academic level or anticipated performance should generally align with the admission requirements of their target universities.
Materials Required from Parents Before the Interview
Please email the following information to talent2elite@gmail.com:
- Student’s full name, current school, and grade level
- Transcript (including GPA and class rank, if available)
- Standardized test scores (if available): PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP
- Extracurricular activities (in school and outside)
- Experience in music, sports, community service, and leadership
- Competition history
- Intended academic major(s)
- A list of the top 5 universities the student most wishes to apply to
Interview Process
After reviewing the student’s materials, if I believe I can provide meaningful support, the following process will take place:
- Optional Parent Zoom Consultation: 30 minutes to introduce the service philosophy and answer any parental questions
- Student Zoom Interview: 40 minutes for mutual understanding and evaluation of compatibility for collaboration
Note: This stage does not include detailed planning, personal branding, or in-depth application strategy discussions.
The sole purpose is for both parties to assess whether they are a good fit for working together. Parents and students can also use this opportunity
to determine if I am the right mentor.
Note: I do not need to know every detail about the student before the interview.
If we proceed with collaboration, I will thoroughly get to know the student's background and characteristics.
Post-Interview Process & Waitlist Policy
If both parties agree to collaborate, the following steps will be taken:
- Contract & Payment: Payment can be made in one or two installments
- Immediate Start: Personalized services begin upon receiving the first payment
-
Waiting List: Put on the waiting list, to be activated at an agreed-upon time in the future
After graduating students complete their application process in January each year, I reassess availability for other grades:
- If there is space, services can begin immediately
- If the cohort is full, only a very limited number of exceptional students will be admitted
When evaluating whether to accept new students, I consider:
- The extent to which I can help the student improve
- The number and distribution of students already enrolled in the same grade
- The student’s overall background and the competitiveness of their college application goals
